D2: 17 Nov – The Necropolis: Tombs of Immortality & Golden Horizons

Location: West Bank
Cross the Nile to the Land of the Dead. You’ll explore the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried in elaborate rock-cut tombs to hide their treasures. Descend into the vibrant underworld paintings of select royal tombs. Next, marvel at the architectural grandeur of the Temple of Hatshepsut, a colonnaded masterpiece built for Egypt’s most powerful female pharaoh, set dramatically against sheer limestone cliffs. As the heat fades, board a traditional boat for an Evening Nile Sunset Cruise to sip tea and watch the sky turn gold behind the Theban Mountains.

Check out of your Luxor hotel and drive north to Dendera Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love, music, and healing. Famous for its stunning blue ceiling and the famous "Dendera Zodiac," this temple is a highlight for those seeking detailed Ptolemaic art. After exploring the crypts and roof chapels, begin your drive east through the desert mountains toward the Red Sea. Arrive in Hurghada in the evening and check into your beachfront resort.

• Good to Know: The drive from Luxor to Hurghada takes about 4 hours. The coastal road offers a stark but beautiful contrast between the desert and the sea. Your accommodation in Hurghada will likely be an all-inclusive resort; confirm dining times upon arrival.

D6: 21 Nov – The Aquamarine Playground: Islands & Reefs

Location: Red Sea, Hurghada
Board a boat for a full day of sun and sea at Orange Bay. This area is famous for its powdery white sandbars and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Whether you choose to lounge on the deck or dive in, you’ll have the opportunity for Red Sea Snorkeling among some of the world’s most vibrant coral reefs. Look out for parrotfish, clownfish, and if you’re lucky, dolphins swimming alongside the boat.

• Good to Know: The sun in Hurghada is intense even in November. Use reef-safe sunscreen to protect the corals and your skin. Even if you are a confident swimmer, using a life jacket while snorkeling allows you to relax and observe the fish longer.

D7: 22 Nov – The Last Wonder: The Sands of Giza

Location: Hurghada to Cairo/Giza
This morning, you’ll check out and catch a short domestic flight from Hurghada to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will head straight to the Giza Plateau to witness the last surviving wonder of the ancient world: the Pyramids of Giza. You will visit the Great Pyramid of Khufu and have the special privilege of entering one of the smaller pyramids to experience the inner chamber atmosphere. You will also see the Great Sphinx and take in the panoramic views of the desert.

• Good to Know: The flight is approximately 1 hour. The interior tunnels of the pyramids are narrow and steep; claustrophobic visitors may prefer to wait outside. A camel ride at the panorama viewpoint is a classic photo opportunity but agree on the price before mounting.

D8: 23 Nov – The Cradle of Civilization & The Modern Marvel

Location: Saqqara & Giza
Venture out to Saqqara, the vast necropolis of the ancient capital Memphis. Here you will see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest colossal stone building in the world, which represents the architectural leap from mastaba to pyramid. Depending on your flight time, you may have a few hours for last-minute shopping at the Khan el-Khalili bazaar (if your flight is in the evening) or simply relax. You will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your onward journey, carrying with you the memories of the pharaohs.

• Good to Know: Cairo traffic can be unpredictable; your guide will usually advise leaving for the airport 3 to 4 hours before an international flight. Double-check your luggage for any antiquities or coral fragments you may have accidentally picked up, as exporting these is strictly illegal. Safe travels!
