Day 1: Welcome to Almaty!

Upon arrival at Almaty International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to settle in, relax, and soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Evening at leisure—perfect for a stroll in the city or sampling local cuisine.

Day 2: Almaty City & Mountain Adventure

Experience the city’s cultural gems and breathtaking mountain scenery. Start with a guided visit to Medeu Ice Rink, the world’s highest mountain skating rink at 1,691 meters above sea level, surrounded by the dramatic Tian Shan peaks.

Next: Climb the Health Staircase (842 steps) to Shymbulak Ski Resort. This iconic local challenge offers stunning views and a chance to stretch your legs before taking the scenic cable car to Shymbulak, where you can enjoy year-round mountain activities.

City Highlights Stopovers:

• Green Bazaar – Vibrant market for local produce, souvenirs, and a taste of Kazakh flavors.

• Rahat Chocolate Factory Store – Take home famous Kazakh chocolates.

• Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen & Zenkov Cathedral – Explore historic monuments and an incredible wooden cathedral.

Final Stop: Kok-Tobe Hill – Enjoy panoramic views of Almaty, a mini-zoo, amusement rides, and the iconic Beatles statue. Perfect for a sunset walk.

Tip: Wear comfortable shoes for walking and bring a light jacket for the mountains.

Day 3: Big Almaty Lake & Legendary Apple Orchards 

Meeting Point: 6:00–6:15 AM at Renion Zyliha Hotel

Travel 1 hour south of Almaty to Big Almaty Lake, a stunning alpine reservoir at 2,511 meters above sea level. Admire the color-changing waters, framed by pine forests and towering peaks—perfect for photos.

Next, visit the Almaty Apple Orchard. Discover the story of “Aport” apples, a symbol of Almaty, and stroll through the picturesque orchards at the foot of the Tien Shan Mountains.

Good to Know: The orchard is seasonal—spring and summer offer the most vibrant apple displays.

Day 4: Charyn Canyon – Nature’s Masterpiece

Meeting Point: Hotel pickup in Almaty

Explore Charyn Canyon, 200 km east of Almaty, often called the “Grand Canyon of Central Asia.” Walk through the Valley of Castles, where rock formations resemble ancient stone fortresses. Formed over 12 million years, these geological wonders provide a breathtaking backdrop for photos and nature walks.

Tip: Bring sturdy shoes and sun protection—the canyon can be hot and rocky. Boxed lunch included.

Return to Almaty in the evening.

Day 5: Kaindy & Kolsai Lakes with Black Canyon 

Operating Days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Meeting Point: 5:15 AM at Circus Parking, Abay 50, near Auezov Metro

Leave Almaty behind for a full day in pristine nature. First, visit Lake Kaindy, known for its submerged forest and crystal-clear waters. Optional horse riding available at your own cost.

Then, explore Lake Kolsai, a serene mountain lake with stunning scenery. Take a leisurely stroll along the shore, enjoy lunch (at your own expense), and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Optional: Photography, picnics, or just relaxing by the water.

Return to Almaty in the evening.

Day 6: Altyn-Emel National Park – Singing Dune & Aktau Mountains

Meeting Point: 4:30 AM at Abay-Zharokov, parking near Alatau Metro, Zharokova 119

Embark on a magical day trip to Altyn-Emel National Park.

• Visit the 700-year-old willow tree, a living monument of the steppe.

• Trek through the Ak-Tau Mountains, a surreal white landscape shaped by natural forces.

• Explore the Katutau Mountains, with unique volcanic rock formations.

• Highlight: The Singing Dune, where the sand “sings” as you climb—an unforgettable experience.

Enjoy dinner in a local village before returning to Almaty.

Tip: Wear layered clothing; mornings can be chilly.

Day 7: Fly to Astana & City Highlights

Meeting Point: 10:00 AM in front of Best Western Plus Astana Hotel

After your flight, explore Astana’s modern landmarks:

• Grand Mosque of Astana – Stunning Islamic architecture.

• Independence Square & Palace of Peace and Reconciliation – Learn about Kazakhstan’s history and culture.

• Assumption Cathedral – Largest Orthodox church in Central Asia.

• Atyrau Bridge – Pedestrian bridge with unique fish design.

• Baiterek Tower – Panoramic city views from the observation deck (entry included).

Tip: Keep your camera ready—Astana’s skyline is striking!

Day 8: Burabay National Park – Nature & Adventure 

Meeting Point: 6:00 AM, hotel pickup

Spend a full day in Burabay National Park, known for its lakes, pine forests, and wellness opportunities.

• Bolektau Peak: Scenic hike with panoramic views.

• Abylay Khan Meadow: Learn local history, see archery and eagle demonstrations.

• Lunch: Traditional Kazakh cuisine (vegetarian options available).

• Optional afternoon activities: boat ride on the lake or horseback riding.

Tip: Comfortable shoes and a reusable water bottle will enhance your day.

Day 9: Return to Almaty & Free Day 

• Early morning flight from Astana (05:45–08:40)

• Transfer to hotel, check-in at 2:00 PM

• Free time to relax, shop, or explore Almaty at your own pace

Good to Know: Visit Dostyk Plaza, Mega Center, or Zeleny Bazaar for souvenirs and local treats.

Day 10: Departure from Almaty 

Check out and transfer to Almaty International Airport for your onward flight.

Tip: Ensure you have souvenirs packed safely for your journey home.
