Day 1 – Welcome to Almaty | Arrival & Hotel Transfer

Arrive in Almaty, the cultural and natural heart of Kazakhstan. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred comfortably to your hotel.
Take the rest of the day at leisure to relax after your journey or enjoy a short walk around your hotel area.

Day 2 – Almaty City Highlights & Mountain Adventure

Discover the perfect blend of city life, culture, and mountain beauty on this full-day guided tour.

Your journey begins with a visit to Medeu Ice Rink, the highest mountain skating rink in the world, located at 1,691 meters above sea level. Enjoy breathtaking alpine views and fresh mountain air.

Feeling adventurous? Climb the famous Health Staircase with 842 steps, a popular local fitness challenge connecting Medeu to Shymbulak. The reward: stunning panoramic views of the mountains.

From here, enjoy a cable car ride up to Shymbulak Ski Resort, one of Central Asia’s largest resorts, offering incredible scenery year-round.

Back in the city, explore:

• Green Bazaar – colorful local market

• Rahat Chocolate Factory Store – famous Kazakh sweets

• Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen – historic and peaceful

• Zenkov Cathedral – a beautiful wooden church built without nails

End the day at Kok-Tobe Hill, offering sweeping city views, walking paths, fun attractions, and the iconic Beatles Statue.

Day 3 – Alpine Beauty & Legendary Apple Gardens

Start early for a scenic drive (approx. 1 hour) to the stunning Big Almaty Lake, nestled high in the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains at 2,511 meters above sea level.

Surrounded by pine forests and towering peaks, the lake’s color shifts magically from light turquoise to deep blue, depending on sunlight — a photographer’s dream.

Next, visit the famous Almaty Apple Orchard, home to the legendary Aport Apple, a true symbol of the city. Learn the fascinating story behind this giant red apple variety while enjoying peaceful mountain landscapes.

• No swimming allowed at Big Almaty Lake (protected area)

Day 4 – Charyn Canyon | Kazakhstan’s Grand Canyon

Travel about 200 km east of Almaty to explore the spectacular Charyn Canyon, a natural wonder shaped over 12 million years.

The highlight is the famous Valley of Castles, a 2 km stretch where rock formations resemble ancient fortresses and towers carved by wind and water.

Walk through this dramatic landscape, admire its colors and shapes, and feel like you’ve stepped into another world before returning to Almaty in the evening.

Day 5 – Kaindy & Kolsai Lakes | Nature at Its Best

Meeting Point: Abay 50 – Circus Parking
(Nearest Metro: Auezov Station)

Escape the city and journey into Kazakhstan’s most famous mountain lakes.

First stop is Lake Kaindy, known for its surreal sunken forest, where tree trunks rise out of crystal-clear water. Optional horse riding is available (extra cost).

Continue to Lake Kolsai, often called the “Pearl of the Tien Shan.” Relax by the shore, enjoy fresh mountain air, and have lunch at a local café (own expense).

After a day filled with unforgettable landscapes, return to Almaty in the evening.

Day 6 – Altyn-Emel National Park | Singing Dune & Mountains

Meeting Time: 04:30 AM
Meeting Point: Abay–Zharokov Parking, near Alatau Metro Station

Embark on an extraordinary journey to Altyn-Emel National Park, one of Kazakhstan’s most mystical destinations.

Starting from Basshi Village, visit:

• A 700-year-old willow tree, rich in history

• Aktau Mountains – white, layered hills that look otherworldly

• Katutau Mountains – ancient volcanic rock formations

The highlight is the famous Singing Dune, where the sand produces a deep humming sound when the wind blows. Climb to the top for panoramic desert views and an unforgettable experience.

After dinner in the village, return to Almaty late evening.

Day 7 – Farewell Almaty | Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Almaty International Airport for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of Kazakhstan’s natural beauty and culture.
