Itinerary

Day 1: “From Plains to Peaks – A Sacred Beginning in the Himalayas”

Arrive at Jammu Airport, where the crisp mountain air greets you as your journey into divinity begins. A scenic drive through winding hills brings you to Katra, the gateway to the revered shrine of Vaishno Devi Temple.

After check-in, prepare yourself for the sacred darshan. Whether you choose to begin your ascent today or simply soak in the spiritual aura of Katra, the evening is filled with devotion and anticipation.

Good to know:

  • Keep your Yatra slip handy—it’s mandatory for the pilgrimage.

  • Light woollens are useful even in warmer months due to cool evenings.

Day 2: “Footsteps of Faith – The Divine Trek to Mata Vaishno Devi”

Rise early and begin your soulful trek toward the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi Temple. The 12–13 km journey is not just a physical climb but a deeply spiritual experience, with chants of “Jai Mata Di” echoing through the mountains.

Pause at scenic viewpoints, sip on warm chai at hillside stalls, and take in the serene beauty surrounding you. Upon reaching the sanctum, experience the powerful darshan before descending back to Katra for a well-earned rest.

Good to know:

  • Pony, palki, and helicopter services are available if needed.

  • Start early to avoid crowds and enjoy a peaceful trek.

Day 3: “Into Kashmir’s Embrace – Valleys, Pines & Mountain Whispers”

Bid farewell to Katra and journey toward the enchanting valleys of Kashmir. En route, stop at Patnitop, a serene hill station offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and lush meadows.

Continue through scenic routes via Verinag, famous for its pristine spring, before arriving in Pahalgam—a picturesque paradise nestled along the Lidder River.

Good to know:

  • Carry snacks for the long drive; the views are stunning but stretches can be remote.

  • Patnitop is perfect for quick photo stops and fresh mountain air.

Day 4: “Bollywood Dreams & River Songs – Pahalgam to Srinagar”

Wake up in Pahalgam and explore the breathtaking Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood film Betaab. Surrounded by snow-dusted mountains and lush greenery, it feels like stepping into a postcard.

Later, drive toward Srinagar, the heart of Kashmir. As you enter the city, glimpses of Dal Lake and Mughal gardens set the tone for your stay.

Good to know:

  • Local taxis are required for certain Pahalgam sightseeing spots.

  • Keep your camera ready—every turn is photogenic.

Day 5: “Meadows of Magic – A Day in Gulmarg’s Wonderland”

Today, head to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” Rolling green landscapes (or snow-covered fields in winter) create a dreamlike setting.

Take a ride on the famous Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, offering jaw-dropping Himalayan views.

Good to know:

  • Book gondola tickets in advance to avoid long queues.

  • Snow boots and gear can be rented locally.

Day 6: “Gateway to Glaciers – Discovering the Majesty of Sonmarg”

Drive to Sonmarg, aptly called the “Meadow of Gold.” Surrounded by towering peaks and glaciers, this destination feels untouched and wild.

You can visit the stunning Thajiwas Glacier via pony ride or short trek, where icy streams and snowfields create a magical landscape.

Good to know:

  • Weather can change quickly—carry layers.

  • Pony rides are negotiable; agree on rates beforehand.

Day 7: “Royal Gardens & Floating Dreams – Srinagar in Full Bloom”

Explore the timeless beauty of Srinagar, starting with the historic Pari Mahal, offering panoramic city views. Stroll through the bustling Lal Chowk, the cultural heartbeat of the city.

Later, wander through the Mughal masterpieces—Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh—where terraced lawns and fountains echo royal elegance.

End your journey with a magical stay on a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake, as the sun sets over shimmering waters.

Good to know:

  • Try a Shikara ride at sunset—it’s unforgettable.

  • Shop for authentic Kashmiri handicrafts at Lal Chowk.
