Day 1: Whispers of Arrival – Tbilisi Awaits
Your Georgian adventure begins in the heart of Tbilisi, a city where winding alleys, golden domes, and a river’s song weave a timeless welcome. After settling in, take time at your own pace to visit the Chronicles of Georgia, a monumental open-air masterpiece overlooking the city. Its towering stone pillars, carved with kings, saints, and legends, set the stage for the epic journey ahead.
Day 2: Sacred Horizons – Jvari, Mtskheta & Old Tbilisi
Step into the soul of Georgia as the day begins at Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where centuries of devotion echo in stone walls. From the Jvari Monastery, gaze upon the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers — a painter’s canvas in nature’s hues.
After savoring a traditional Georgian lunch, wander through Old Tbilisi: the Metekhi Church, Bridge of Peace, and the cableway to Narikala Fortress, where history and skyline merge. Let the evening close with the murmurs of waterfalls and the warmth of sulfur baths.
Day 3: Snow-Crowned Peaks – Gudauri & Kazbegi
The road to the mountains unfolds like poetry, mirrored in the waters of Zhinvali Reservoir and guarded by the stoic walls of Ananuri Castle. Watch as black and white rivers embrace, then ascend to Gudauri Viewpoint, where skies open wide.
If fortune favors, ascend to the legendary Gergeti Trinity Church, cradled under the watch of mighty Kazbegi. On snowy days, trade temples for waterfalls — each step an adventure.
Day 4: Castles & Caves – Borjomi, Rabati & Vardzia
Sip the mineral waters of Borjomi Springs, nature’s elixir for centuries. Wander through the storied stones of Rabati Castle, a fortress of many cultures. Then, venture to the mystical city of caves — Vardzia — carved into cliffs, echoing with the chants of monks long past. Return under the twilight sky, carrying whispers of ancient Georgia.
Day 5: Legends in Stone – Gori & Uplistsikhe
Walk into the world of cave-carved corridors at Uplistsikhe, a city older than memory. Share lunch at a local table, then continue to Gori, where history is etched in fortresses and the museum of Stalin tells a tale of power and paradox. End the day overlooking a land steeped in both myth and memory.
Day 6: Across the Valleys – Journey to Kutaisi
A scenic passage carries you westward, through rolling hills and rustic landscapes, until Kutaisi, Georgia’s ancient capital, opens its gates — a land where kings were crowned and monasteries guarded wisdom.
Day 7: Stones of Eternity – Bagrati, Gelati & Motsameta
Climb to Bagrati Cathedral, where history gazes down upon Kutaisi. Then wander through Gelati Monastery, a beacon of learning raised by King David the Builder. Finally, step into the serenity of Motsameta Monastery, perched above a river’s embrace, where faith meets breathtaking beauty.
Day 8: Wine & Dine in Imereti – A Family Feast
In the vineyards of Obcha village, sisters Baia and Gvantsa welcome you with stories of grapes and heritage. Taste golden wines born from clay qvevri, sip fiery chacha, and savor the home-cooked dishes of their mother. Around a laden table, discover that Georgian wine is not just a drink, but a way of life.
Day 9: To the Shores of the Black Sea – Arrival in Batumi
The road leads to the sea. As mountains give way to palms and waves, Batumi rises — a city of contrasts where the Black Sea kisses modern towers and ancient alleys. In the evening, wander at your own pace to the moving Ali & Nino statue by the shore, where love and legend merge into art, endlessly embracing under the sunset sky.
Day 10: Into the Emerald Heart – Mtirala National Park
Venture deep into misty forests where time moves slow. Cross a river on a hand-pulled cable car, then hike through lush trails until a waterfall unveils its crystal veil. Children laugh at rope swings, adventurers swim in icy pools, and the forest whispers secrets of an untouched Georgia.
Day 11: Waterfalls & Wine – A Day in Adjarian Highlands
From the still waters of Acharistskali Reservoir to the thunder of Makhuntseti Falls, today is nature’s concert. Cross the ancient Bridge of Tamar, wander to hidden Mirveti Waterfall, and feast in a mountain home where wine flows and locals dance to folklore songs.
Day 12: Canyons & Caves – Martvili & Prometheus
Glide on a boat through the turquoise depths of Martvili Canyon, under arches carved by water and time. Share a rustic lunch, then descend into the otherworldly halls of Prometheus Cave — 1.4 km of sparkling chambers where legends of love still linger.
Day 13: Into the White Peaks – Journey to Mestia
The road winds into Svaneti, a land of towers and mountains, where every stone tells tales of warriors and every peak touches the sky. By evening, you arrive in Mestia, gateway to the Caucasus giants.
Day 14: Kingdom in the Clouds – Ushguli & Svaneti’s Legacy
At the edge of Europe’s highest inhabited village, Ushguli, walk among medieval towers that stand guard beneath peaks like Shkhara and Ushba. Visit the Lamaria Monastery, steeped in mountain lore, and hear tales of love and defiance at the Tower of Tamar.
Day 15: Return to Tbilisi – The Circle Completes
The mountains recede, rivers lead the way, and Tbilisi opens its arms again. The journey has circled back, but your heart now carries the soul of Georgia.
Day 16: Farewell, Georgia – Until We Meet Again
As you depart, memories of monasteries, mountains, feasts, and friendships remain — a journey lived not only in places seen, but in the stories you now carry home.
