Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi – Traditional Villages & Culinary Delights

Begin your journey with an immersion into the heart of Vietnamese craft and culture. After a warm welcome from your guide, visit three traditional villages around Hanoi:

• Incense Village: Discover the delicate art of incense-making, where the air is scented with aromatic woods and herbs. Stroll through the village, capture stunning photographs, and meet the artisans who continue this centuries-old tradition.

• Conical Hat Village: Witness the meticulous craftsmanship of the iconic Vietnamese conical hat. Try your hand at painting your own hat, creating a keepsake that embodies your day.

• Lacquer Art Village: Delve into the intricate world of Vietnamese lacquer art. Visit family-run workshops and observe the detailed process of creating lacquer masterpieces. You even have the opportunity to paint a lacquer piece yourself.

Lunch: Enjoy a sumptuous home-cooked meal at a riverside restaurant or artisan home.

Optional: End your day with a visit to Hanoi’s famous Train Street for a unique urban photo opportunity. Return to your hotel in Hanoi city center for a restful evening.

Day 2: Hanoi – Bai Dinh – Trang An – Mua Cave – Hanoi

Pick-up: 7:20 – 8:00 AM

Travel northward in a luxurious limousine shuttle and explore Vietnam’s spiritual and natural wonders:

• Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex: Marvel at Vietnam’s largest Buddhist complex, featuring towering statues, serene courtyards, and the longest Arhat corridor in Asia. The 10-meter-tall bronze Buddha is a sight to behold.

• Lunch: Delight in a Vietnamese buffet with local favorites, including vegetarian options.

• Trang An Boat Cruise: Glide through rivers and mystical caves on a traditional sampan boat in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, often called “Ha Long Bay on Land.”

• Mua Cave Hike: Climb to the peak for panoramic views of Tam Coc valley and the surrounding limestone karsts – a photographer’s paradise.

Return: Drop off at your hotel in Hanoi between 7:00 – 7:30 PM.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Giang by Bus

Journey into the dramatic northern mountains by bus. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and rest in preparation for the adventure ahead.

Day 4: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Du Gia (Ha Giang Loop)

After breakfast, venture into the “Road of Happiness,” climbing the Quan Ba Pass and entering the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Highlights include:

• Heaven’s Gate: Behold sweeping vistas of the Dong Van landscape.

• Fairy Hills: Capture the mystical charm of rolling hills and winding paths.

• Lunch: Savor a traditional meal in Tam Son town.

• Du Gia Village: Experience authentic ethnic minority life with a homestay, including dinner and breakfast with your host family.

Day 5: Du Gia – Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng – Dong Van – Lung Cu – Dong Van

Continue exploring Northern Vietnam’s majestic mountain roads:

• Pass through Meo Vac and the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, considered one of the most scenic mountain roads in the world.

• Visit Dong Van, the northernmost town of Vietnam.

• Optional: Climb Lung Cu Flag Tower, the country’s northernmost point, for breathtaking views.

• Overnight in Dong Van at a comfortable hotel or homestay.

Day 6: Dong Van – Sa Phin – Yen Minh – Tam Son – Ha Giang City

Drive southward through stunning landscapes:

Day 7: Ha Giang – Sapa by Bus

Journey westward into the highlands of Sapa, a town nestled among terraced fields and towering mountains.

Day 8: Sapa – Ham Rong Mountain & Ethnic Villages Trek

Pick-up: 9:30 AM

• Trek to Ham Rong Mountain, passing peach, plum, and corn orchards. Enjoy panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son Range and Fansipan Peak.

• Explore ethnic villages such as Sa Seng, Hang Da, and Hau Chu Ngai, learning about the Black Hmong people’s culture and traditions.

• Lunch: Enjoy a local meal in Hang Da village.

• Return to Sapa for an evening of leisure.

Day 9: Sapa – Alpine Coaster Ride & Panoramic Valley Views

• Drive to Bản Mòng, a hidden mountain gem.

• Ride the Alpine Coaster through winding mountain tracks while admiring sweeping valley views.

• Relax with a drink at Best View Sapa and take stunning photos.

• Evening visit to Sapa Market to explore local crafts and flavors.

Day 10: Morning Fansipan Peak & Overnight Train to Hanoi

• Ascend Fansipan, the “Roof of Indochina,” by cable car and enjoy spectacular mountain vistas.

• In the evening, board the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 11: Hanoi – Cao Bang – Angel Mountain

Day 12: Tiger Cave – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Truc Lam Pagoda

• Visit Truc Lam Pagoda and hike to the viewpoint overlooking Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Asia.

Day 13: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay / Lan Ha Bay

• Board your cruise in Tuan Chau or Hanoi and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink.

• Cruise through Ha Long Bay’s iconic limestone karsts.

• Activities: Choose between kayaking in the Dark and Bright Cave or exploring the tranquil Ba Trai Dao Lagoon.

• Evening: Sunset cruise, squid fishing, cooking class, or optional onboard massage.

Day 14: Lan Ha Bay – Ha Long Bay – Hanoi

• Begin with a Tai Chi session at sunrise.

• Optional kayaking in Ao Ech or visit Quan Y Cave on Cat Ba Island.

• Return to Hanoi after brunch, disembarking at Tuan Chau Wharf.

Day 15: Hanoi – Free Day

Spend a leisurely day shopping, exploring local markets, or visiting Hanoi’s iconic landmarks such as the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, or Temple of Literature at your own pace.

Day 16: Departure from Hanoi

• Transfer to the airport for your onward journey, taking home unforgettable memories of Northern Vietnam’s culture, mountains, and waterways
