Itinerary

D1: 31 Oct | The Island Welcome – From Runway to Retreat

Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. You will be greeted by your private driver for a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. The drive takes you through the island's changing landscapes, from the bustling south to the tranquil, green hills of the central region. Settle in, unwind, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Good to Know: The drive from DPS to Ubud typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours one way, heavily depending on traffic. Use this time to rest or chat with your driver about local customs. Ubud is known for its wellness culture, so a evening stroll through the Monkey Forest or a Balinese massage is a perfect way to acclimate.

D2: 1 Nov | Southern Cliffs & Firelight Tales

Begin your day by braving the Glass Bridge for panoramic views of the jungle valley below. Next, venture south to the dramatic Karang Boma Cliff in Uluwatu, famous for its breathtaking Indian Ocean vistas and unique cliff-edge photo spots. As the day wanes, head to the iconic Tanah Lot Temple, a pilgrimage site perched on a rock formation in the sea. The day concludes with a mesmerizing Kecak Fire Dance performance against the backdrop of a stunning sunset.

Good to Know: This is a full day of riding, with 9-11 hours in the saddle. The Kecak dance is very popular. The cliff areas can be windy, so secure loose items like hats and phones. The ride back to Ubud in the evening can be slow due to traffic.

D3: 2 Nov | The Sacred Highlands & Water Temples

Journey east to the Lahangan Sweet viewpoint for majestic views of Mount Agung, Bali's holiest volcano. Descend to the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, a former royal palace with tiered fountains and koi ponds where you can walk on stepping stones. Continue to the serene Pura Taman Pecampuhan Sala, a hidden gem of a water temple. End your day at the impeccably preserved Penglipuran Village, known for its clean streets and traditional Balinese architecture.

Good to Know: This route involves 9-11 hours of riding, much of it through winding mountain roads. Weather can change quickly in the highlands; pack a light rain jacket. The roads to Lahangan Sweet are steep and narrow—ride with caution. Respect local customs at all temples; a sarong and sash are often required and can be rented on-site.

D4: 3 Nov | Northern Lakes & Hidden Cascades

Ride north to the volcanic highlands. Visit Pura Siwa, an ancient and less-visited temple, before heading to the Wanagiri Hidden Hills, a series of photo spots overlooking Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. Trek down to the stunning Banyumala Waterfall for a refreshing dip in its natural pool. Conclude at the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, which appears to float on Lake Beratan.

Good to Know: Expect 9-11 hours of riding on this day. The trek to Banyumala Waterfall involves a steep, slippery path; wear sturdy footwear. The mountain air is cool, especially near the lakes, so a jacket is advisable. The Ulun Danu Beratan area can be misty and cool—perfect for photography.

D5: 4 Nov | Rice Terraces, Swings & Souvenirs

Immerse yourself in Ubud's classic scenery. Start at Sari Timbul, a quiet rice terrace area perfect for a morning walk. Continue to the Mapu Rice Field for more stunning green landscapes. Experience the thrill of the famous Jungle Swing over the valley. Spend the afternoon shopping for souvenirs, art, and crafts in Ubud's bustling markets and streets.

Good to Know: This is a shorter riding day, about 5-8 hours, allowing for a more relaxed pace. The swings have varying heights and safety standards; choose a reputable operator. When shopping, polite bargaining is expected. Be mindful of the rice fields—they are working farms, so stay on designated paths.

D6: 5 Nov | Farewell to the Island of the Gods

Enjoy a final Balinese breakfast before your private car transfer back to Denpasar Airport. The journey offers a last look at Bali's lush landscapes as you head to the coast. Arrive at the airport with plenty of time for your departure flight.

Good to Know: Plan for a 1.5 to 2.5-hour one way drive to the airport. It's wise to leave at least 3 hours before your flight to account for traffic and check-in procedures. Ensure you have all your belongings and souvenirs packed safely.
