Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap – The Gateway to Angkor

Arrive in Siem Reap, a vibrant town brimming with charm and the threshold to the ancient world of Angkor. After settling into your hotel, enjoy the evening at leisure. Wander through Siem Reap’s lively night markets, savor authentic Khmer street food, or simply rest and prepare for the awe-inspiring adventures ahead.

Day 2: Sunrise at Angkor Wat & The Small Circuit Temples

(4:30 AM – 1:00 PM)

Awake before dawn to witness a sunrise that stirs the soul. As the first golden rays illuminate the five towers of Angkor Wat, you’ll understand why this UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered one of the most extraordinary creations of humankind.

Guided by an expert storyteller, explore the Small Circuit Temples while the morning is cool and serene:

  • Angkor Wat – A living masterpiece of Khmer architecture and spirituality.

  • Ta Prohm – The “jungle temple,” where ancient walls are embraced by giant silk-cotton trees, made famous by Tomb Raider.

  • Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom – Home to enigmatic smiling faces carved in stone, whispering stories of kings and gods.

  • Banteay Kdei & Ta Keo – Lesser-known gems where serenity reigns, and you’ll feel the mystery of time frozen in stone.

  • The South Gate of Angkor Thom – An unforgettable entrance flanked by rows of gods and demons tugging at a seven-headed naga.

Return to Siem Reap by early afternoon, your heart brimming with awe. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore at your own pace.

Day 3: The Grand Circuit & Sunset Splendor

(10:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

After a leisurely morning, embark on the Grand Circuit, where Cambodia’s spiritual and artistic heritage unfolds in new dimensions:

  • Preah Khan – A vast labyrinth built in honor of King Jayavarman VII’s father.

  • Neak Pean – A small island temple surrounded by pools of sacred water once believed to possess healing powers.

  • Ta Som – Known for the ancient tree roots dramatically enveloping its eastern gate.

  • East Mebon – Once surrounded by water, this 10th-century temple pays homage to the ancestors.

  • Pre Rup – A warm, brick-red temple often bathed in soft twilight, once misinterpreted as a crematorium but in truth a place of Hindu rituals.

Conclude the day atop Phnom Bakheng, a hilltop temple where the sunset paints the horizon with a golden glow over the forests and Angkor Wat in the distance.

Day 4: Kulen Mountain, Beng Mealea & Floating Villages

Venture beyond Angkor into Cambodia’s untamed countryside. After breakfast, journey to Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain where the Khmer Empire began. Visit the River of a Thousand Lingas, a reclining Buddha carved into stone, and refreshing waterfalls where you may swim. Enjoy a rustic picnic amid nature’s embrace.

Continue to the mysterious Beng Mealea, a 12th-century temple largely untouched, where crumbling ruins and towering trees echo a tale of forgotten grandeur.

End the day with a tranquil boat ride through Kampong Phluk floating village, where stilt houses rise from Tonlé Sap Lake and mangrove forests cradle a community bound to the rhythms of water.

Day 5: Lotus Silk Farm & Apsara Dance Dinner

Today, discover the delicate beauty of Cambodian artistry. Begin with a guided visit to the Lotus Silk Farm, where sacred lotus flowers are transformed into one of the world’s rarest textiles. Learn about Khmer traditions, sustainable weaving, and the artistry that connects the past to the present.

Enjoy lotus tea and light snacks at a serene rooftop café, overlooking lush lotus ponds and emerald rice paddies.

In the evening, savor a traditional Khmer dinner while being mesmerized by an Apsara Dance Performance. With their graceful hand gestures and ethereal movements, the dancers bring to life myths of gods, spirits, and celestial beings, a living embodiment of Cambodia’s soul.

Day 6: Journey to Phnom Penh

Travel to Cambodia’s bustling capital, Phnom Penh, by comfortable coach or private transfer. After arrival, the evening is yours to relax by the riverside, explore the buzzing cafés, or admire the shimmering lights of the Royal Palace across the Tonlé Sap.

Day 7: Oudong Mountain & Phnom Penh City Tour

Step back in time at Oudong Mountain, the former royal capital, where ancient stupas crown the hilltop with sweeping views over the Cambodian plains. En route, visit a silversmith village on the Mekong River, where artisans craft exquisite treasures by hand.

In the afternoon, explore Phnom Penh’s cultural and historical highlights:

  • Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda – Jewels of Khmer architecture, housing sacred treasures and golden Buddhas.

  • Wat Phnom – The hilltop temple that gave the city its name.

  • Independence Monument & Wat Ounalom – Landmarks celebrating Cambodia’s resilience and Buddhist devotion.

The evening offers time to stroll along the riverside promenade or sample Phnom Penh’s eclectic dining scene.

Day 8: Farewell to Cambodia

As your journey concludes, bid farewell to Cambodia – a land of timeless temples, sacred traditions, and resilient spirit. Depart from Phnom Penh with unforgettable memories and perhaps a lotus-silk keepsake as a reminder of your once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
