Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City & Afternoon Cu Chi Tunnels Tour

Arrive in dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s cosmopolitan hub that pulses with history, culture, and modern energy. After settling in, set off on an unforgettable afternoon excursion to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, located just 60 kilometers away.

On the way, gaze out at emerald-green rice paddies and tranquil villages, a window into rural Vietnamese life. Upon arrival, step back in time as you watch a short documentary about the tunnels before venturing inside yourself. These underground passages once served as living quarters, hospitals, and supply routes during the Vietnam War. Crawl through the narrow passageways, marvel at the ingenious trap systems, and gain a profound understanding of the resilience of the Vietnamese people.

As the sun dips low, return to the city and unwind with an evening free to explore Ho Chi Minh’s buzzing streets and nightlife.

Day 2: The Lush Mekong Delta, My Tho & Ben Tre + Evening Market Stroll

This morning, journey south to the enchanting Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s "Rice Bowl." A two-hour drive brings you past endless rice paddies, tropical orchards, and charming hamlets before arriving in My Tho.

Board a traditional motorboat and drift past Dragon, Phoenix, and Turtle Islands before stopping at Unicorn Island, where beekeeping farms welcome you with honey wine and tropical fruits. A hand-rowed sampan awaits to take you through shaded coconut canals, immersing you in the tranquil pace of Delta life.

Continue to Ben Tre Province, where you’ll witness the art of coconut candy making, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch, and listen to soulful folk music in a lush orchard garden.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City by late afternoon. In the evening, explore the lively Ben Thanh Market (closes at 8 PM) or, if it’s the weekend, dive into the electric energy of Bui Vien Walking Street, alive with lights, music, and street food.

Day 3: A Day in Mui Ne – Sand Dunes & Sunset Magic

Escape the city and head east to Mui Ne, a coastal gem known for its surreal landscapes. Travel in comfort aboard a sleeper bus, arriving refreshed for an afternoon of discovery.

Your adventure begins at the mystical Fairy Stream, a shallow waterway flanked by striking red-and-white sand formations. Next, stroll through a bustling fishing village, where rows of colorful boats float against the horizon.

The highlight of the day awaits at the White Sand Dunes. Feel the thrill of an ATV or Jeep ride across sweeping sands, with golden sunlight casting dramatic shadows. Then, journey to the Red Sand Dunes, where the sky transforms into a canvas of crimson and gold as the sun sets.

After a simple but delicious local dinner, return to Ho Chi Minh City, carrying with you the memory of Mui Ne’s magical sunset.

Day 4: Fly to Danang – Marble Mountains & Evening in Hoi An

This morning, take a short flight north to Danang. Upon arrival, ascend the Marble Mountains, a cluster of five limestone hills dotted with caves, pagodas, and hidden shrines. Wander through atmospheric grottoes and enjoy sweeping coastal views.

By evening, continue to Hoi An, the lantern-lit town frozen in time. As dusk falls, its narrow streets glow with thousands of colorful lanterns reflecting on the Thu Bon River—an enchanting sight you’ll never forget.

Day 5: A Self-Discovery Day at Ba Na Hills

Today is yours to explore Ba Na Hills at your own pace. Ride the world-famous cable car up the mountain, passing through misty clouds and forested slopes. Stroll across the awe-inspiring Golden Bridge, held aloft by giant stone hands. Discover French-inspired architecture, whimsical gardens, and sweeping vistas of Central Vietnam.

Day 6: Hanoi Arrival & Immersive Village Tour

Fly to Hanoi, Vietnam’s elegant capital, and dive into its cultural heritage with a private full-day excursion to three artisanal villages.

Begin at the Incense Village, where vibrant pink incense sticks line the streets in bursts of color. Continue to the Conical Hat Village, where skilled artisans guide you in crafting and painting your very own iconic Vietnamese hat. After a hearty home-cooked lunch by the riverside, explore the Lacquer Village, where intricate artworks are painstakingly crafted by hand.

Return to Hanoi by evening, with an optional stop at the famous Train Street, where trains rumble past just meters from local cafes.

Day 7: Ninh Binh – Bai Dinh, Trang An & Mua Cave

Today, venture into Vietnam’s breathtaking countryside with a day trip to Ninh Binh Province, often called “Ha Long Bay on Land.”

Begin at the vast Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex, the largest Buddhist sanctuary in Vietnam, filled with towering Buddha statues, ornate temples, and serene courtyards surrounded by karst mountains.

After a delicious buffet lunch, glide along the serene rivers of Trang An in a hand-rowed sampan. Pass beneath limestone caves and lush arches of greenery in this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Conclude with a climb to the summit of Mua Cave, where panoramic views of rice fields and limestone cliffs stretch to the horizon. Return to Hanoi in the evening, your heart full of awe.

Day 8: Free Day in Hanoi

Spend your final full day in Hanoi at leisure. Wander through the charming Old Quarter, shop for handicrafts, or sample street food delicacies like pho, bun cha, and egg coffee.
